The Aurora Arabian Horse Association supports the Arabian Horse community by organizing competitive horse shows, educational clinics and special events that focus on the diversity, athleticism and beauty of the breed. Aurora works to promote the disciplines of Dressage, Jumping, Hunt Seat, Saddle Seat, Sport Horse, Western, Reining, Trail and Ranch Riding. The Aurora Board of Directors meet monthly at open meetings to discuss the business of the Aurora Horse Association and encourages all of its members to attend meetings and participate by bringing energy and ideas to the table. Award recipients of the Arabian Horse Association Club Excellence Awards in Communication, Club Projects and Club of the Year.

Our club is a small but determined group of Arabian riders and promoters. Our main focus are our annual shows. We run two two-day shows on the long weekend in May. We also participate with another club at Mane Event in Red Deer.

Our club is spread out over a very large geographic area which makes meeting difficult. We sponsor the Western Canadian Breeders Championship show. We also sponsor awards at some local open shows, the Region 17 show, and Canada’s National Arabian Championship show.
