Stay tuned as the Regional Show returns to Alberta in 2024!
We’re back on the west coast in 2023, hosting western Canada’s finest Arabian horses outdoors at Thunderbird Show Park — one of the finest equestrian facilities in North America. The opportunity to show at tBird is just one reason why we’re excited.

Family friendly – we know you value family vacation time. Not only does R17 offer classes for amateurs, juniors and open equestrian competitors, the Langley area and the Fraser Valley are host to a tremendous number of tourist activities for everyone. The summer of ’23 is a great time to visit Beautiful British Colimbia.
Classes for everyone – Region 17 is the only AHA Regional championship horse show in the Pacific Northwest to feature Sport Horse, Working Western, and Performance classes in a combined show. New classes include FEI-level english dressage and upper level western dressage; ranch riding performance and conformation classes; working western including in-hand trail; and adult equitation and showmanship classes. And there’s a robust roster of open, adult and junior performance, halter and showmanship classes in sport horse and main rings, and possible winning that include:
Over $35,000 USD in AHA Breeders Sweepstakes-eligible classes.
$25,000 in added prize money for amateur and juniors courtesy the generous sponsorship of Lone Tree Arabians, Jan McKim Training and the Klondike Group of Companies.
Over $9,000 in eligible Region 17 Select Stallion Futurity classes!
Plus, we’ve made some adjustments based on your feedback and have a few surprises in store.
The Region 17 Championship Show returns to Alberta in 2024 and 2025 with dates and locations to be announced.
